Ladies and Gentlemen, the king... John Daly

The inaugural post for the fat athlete hall of fame is easily the king of all modern fat athletes, John Daly. Daly has been large and in charge ever since he stepped into the fat man limelight by winning the 1991 Player's Championship. Defying all odds, the rookie Daly was the 9th and final alternate, only making the tournament after Nick Price dropped out. Since that time his story has been one of fat man lore.

He is well known to enjoy booze, and he smokes ciggs while playing professionally. On one bender, Daly was arrested outside of a Winston-Salem area Hooters. Since turning pro, Daly has been divorced 3 times. Daly loves to gamble and has claimed that he has gambled as much as 50 or 60 million dollars away over his career. He has endured multiple suspensions, and based on pictures that I have found on the internet, he is a fan of topless women.

They don't come much more awesome than John Daly. He won the 1995 British Open for his second major victory. John Daly is a living legend in modern fat man times. John Daly, the Fat Athlete Hall of Fame salutes you.
